This is a simple trick but it does require some logistics to make it work.

If you are getting married at a traditional wedding venue (banquet or hotel ballroom) you have to have your floor plan approved with the venue first. They will tell what will work and what won’t work. You may also have to rent your own tables as the venue’s options might be limited to what they usually offer.
If you are getting married at non-traditional venue (tent, loft style, blank canvas) you have the freedom to do as you please. However don’t forget to make sure what you want will fit in the room comfortable and will accommodate all your guests. You are already renting table so why not rent whatever you please. Mix it up! Squares, serpentine, rectangles, different layouts. Go for it!
Seek professional help. I hate saying this but somethings do require help from a wedding or event professional. I am not selling my services, I’m giving professional advice. Speak with the venue manager or your wedding planner about your floor plan options. If you have never done this before, your wedding day is not the day to try your skills unless you happen to be an interior designer or architect.
Adding an estate table is the easiest by far. This can done in any venue just remember to get approval from the venue before you proceed.
The key to an EPIC Wedding floor plan is make it pretty but make sure it’s functional. Don’t inconvenience your guests because you wanted your tables to look like a flower. Guests should still be able to sit comfortably at a table, easy access to bathrooms and exits and of course still have view of the festivities.
So would you dare to change up your floor plan for an epic wedding design? Let me know what you were thinking. I would love to see it!!
Have a Fabulous Day!
